The worst thing for bloggability is when you have something you desperately want to talk about, but for personal reasons, or impact on others you don’t have the right to mess with, or simply legal caution, you can’t.

And I really want to talk about this. Since I can’t, I don’t want to talk about anything.

Christmas is coming. As usual, this means the annual manuvering to get the Boy back to South Dakota for a couple weeks has begun on the part of those back in that state. I don’t actually have a problem with that, all by itself — the last visit was decent — not great, but no major fallout afterwards.

But there are complications, and they are compounded by the fact that they aren’t acknowledged by certain parties as actual problems. Putting my kid into harm’s way kind of problems.

I’m trying to negotiate and find common ground for compromise on this. I’m trying to behave like an adult, and all I’m asking is to deal with adults acting like adults in turn. It’s not working.
