Not in a sick way, but just because Averdata is shitting all over Dave for “unusually high CPU usage”, which is just silly.

I’m being hosted by Averdata. I have one, two, three, four, five weblogs going, one of which is a group blog, and all of which are maintained using CGI that I run off my own account.

I got… well, a lot of hits last month. It’s not a competition, but if it was bandwidth usage, I should have used more than Dave.

They are closing his account because of it… no real warning, no negotiation… nada. It makes no sense, and frankly, it has to be a mistake, because there’s no freakin’ way his site could be doing what they say it’s doing.

On top of that, this relatively stable service has flaked out several times in recent months… basically since I talked Dave into using it.

Yeah, that’s the final kick to the nuts — I talked him into the whole thing. Bah.

If you know of a solid server that supports PHP, email him, or me and I’ll pass it on.

I’d suggest Wil’s host, but then you have to deal with getting crashed every time Slashdot links him.
