John McCain says he will force Senate consideration of a controversial gun control measure early next year bolstered by a newly powerful argument: Foreign terrorists have exploited a loophole to buy weapons at gun shows.

I’m not gun-phobic, but I do think the lack of background checks at gun-shows is foolish — like carding for alchohol everywhere but a rock concert.

That said, the cynic in me has to ask: are we going to start using the 9-11 attacks as an argument for everything?
