1. I can’t remember the last time I filled up my pickup. The benefit of living three minutes from work.

2. I filled up today for .99/gallon.

Postscript: if you fill it past F, and drain it below E, you can get 21 full gallons of fuel into what my user’s manual says is a 20 gallon tank. I don’t recommend trying it.

That's because at the bottom of the tank there is a layer of charcoal for filtering that will hold about half a gallon, plus the fuel in the lines hold about a gallon and a half on an American car/truck. Plus there is a slosh value. Needle guages aren't all that accurate either.

(Those values were given to me by a physic's teacher with a Corvette, your milage may vary.)
