Things done since my folks arrived at the house:

- Set up the “Guest bed.”
- Went to see the Lord of the Rings, again (they liked it).
- Toured neighborhood.
- Took them to visit my aunt.
- Home Depot trip.
- Fixed the dining room table leg.
- Container Store trip.
- Priced new bed for Justin.
- Sketched out plans for shelf units downstairs.
- Did some work on the sprinkler system valves.
- Hooked up a new/old vcr setup to get the playstation functional again.
- Watched “Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?”
- Played Uno til my sides hurt. (Is it just me or do people just start laughing during that game?)

And I, ladies and gentlemen, cooked supper. You heard it here first.

congratulations--sounds like you guys had a great time in addition to surviving your cooking.

i got an email from my dad on christmas eve. the folks and the rest of the kids went to see the lord of the rings. my father, the man who can't read dr. seuss properly, said it was ok, but he couldn't see what all the fuss was about. heh.

My Dad's response to the movie was: "That's probably a movie I would never have gone to see, so I'm glad you took us, because it was really, really good."
