5. What’s up with the bear visual motif? When was the last time you saw a bear and how did it turn out?

Somewhere during college, I started to accumulate ‘bear’ nicknames. These were usually along the lines of the ‘pooh’ variety, but those sorry individuals who saw my morning self knew that I could embody many aspects of the usine species.

When I decided to pick up a domain, the bears-cave thing seemed the obvious choice (and I haven’t since thought of any better ideas, so I must have done alright). With that kind of domain name, the motif is sort of foreordained.

My last visit with a bear was the Denver Zoo, which I seem to end up at every 3 months or so. The black and grizzly bears are the highlight for me — polar bears are the current bear chic, and as such, I reject them. (Also, associating myself with a pasty white bear is a little bit too close to the mark for me :)

Comments

ahhh, but the polar bears are always the most charming.
