Dave directed me to the friday five, and while I’m late on the answers, the questions are still interesting enough I’m going to answer them here. (Besides, I don’t have a Blogger Insider to answer.)

1. What cologne or perfume do you wear? Nothing, most of the time. I liked, when I was a kid, that my dad had an identifiable scent that he used, but he is a cleanly man, and didn’t need it. I have a small bottle of cologne I use only upon request, and would prefer only to smell faintly of the soap or shaving cream I use.

2. What cologne or perfume do you like best on the opposite sex? Jackie uses Chloe Narcisse, and she really likes it. It smells good to me (a blessing, since many give me headaches), although I like the smell of her shampoo better — preferably when my face is buried in her hair.

3. What one smell can you not stomach? I don’t like the smell that banana peels give off after the primary product has been consumed. I like bananas fine, but I have to get rid of the peels immediately. Gag reflex, the whole thing.

That pales in comparison to the smell of unwashed hair. The rank oil that seeps into the base of each hair follicle and smells as though something is dead. Guh.

4. What smell do you like that others might consider weird? Dog smell. Wet dog, dry dog, clean dog mouth. I put my face right into Jake’s hair and inhale. That is an honest smell.

Also, the inside of a tractor or a semi. Lots of good memories from my youth. My dad sent me a cellphone head-set that he wasn’t using anymore, since he switched to a new phone. It smells like his semi. Good smell.

5. How do you plan to spend your weekend? Apparently, smelling my wife and my dog’s hair.

Umm, I have no idea. I usually don’t until the last second, but my guess is it’s going to be something that doesn’t cost much :)
