Baby it's cold outside...

So I went to the door this morning and it was foggy.

In Denver, foggy is fun, because foggy never happens. In South Dakota, foggy was less fun.

So I went to the door this afternoon (out to lunch), and the fog had become low-hanging clouds, looming over the earth like a faceless, frozen god who planned to smite the innocent at oh… say… probably around 3:30pm today. Just in time to really have things mucked up for the commute.

Well, everyone else’s commute — my commute takes 4.5 minutes.

How did we get to this point from foggy? I miss foggy. I want foggy back. This cold, cold air that numbs my digits and makes my hands ache is not for me, man.

What is it with Friday snow lately?? Only on the days that I'm gaming at your place.

I know this is painful for you to hear, but there are time when Denver is not so far removed from South Dakota. Face it!!

I like fog. Fog is good. Except, maybe, thule fog in the San Joaquin Valley in California. That sucks.

But fog in Denver is fun.

By the way, try 2:30, not 3:30 ...

Fortunately, my "commute" to your house is significantly shorter than Lori's.

UGh! And I just had a co-worker leave and call in to tell us how slippery it was. I'm going to see how the drive home is first, then I will decide if the Twi'lek will be able to make an appearance tonight.

I like snow, just when I'm at home with a blanket, a nice fire and a good book, you know like Burnt Offerings. ;-)

Theoretically, we've got room for everyone to crash at our house, and room for them to do so...

You know how fun at fog was?

I'm in the Rapid City Airport at 5 am. Denver ground halts. I sit in Rapid till 2pm, the plane is overloaded and visability is, 5 feet. We take off, Denver holds again because of snow, I'm on a CJ-45 with low fuel over Colorado Springs for an hour till Denver un-halts, we get in. Plane going to Portland is late, I finally get in at 9pm. All told it took me as long to fly as it does to drive Rapid to Portland.

And the pretzels at DIA sucked.
