Embedding fonts is only sporadically supported. It's more of a headache than it's worth. If you're optimizing your images, you should be able to do just about any GIF less than 15K. Need some advice?

The problem is:
1: I don't just want a small label. I want huge chunks of text to be in the cool font, so gif's aren't an option.
2. Font embedding (Thanks for the tip, Muz!), sucks on ice.
Solution: link to a zip file with the (free!) web fonts in it, and just ask everyone to install the fonts :P

I will point out that you might have non-Windows viewers (like me, at work), though it may just depend on how you do it.

Yeah, that's always the rub. Luckily, I'm not doing this to my main page, just to a side-venture that I'm working on which (I imagine) will hold little or no interest to my gentle readers out here.

Most of the sites that have done so satsifactorily have allows the fonts as a download ... but the site has to remain viewable with "normal" fonts.
It's still a pain in the ass.
