This does bring up a question: when do they introduce the gay character?

Check me if I’m wrong, but mainstream Sci Fi series haven’t boasted the requisite-on-U.S.-TV “token” gay character yet, and some marketing dingbat has eventually GOT to have this idea. Enterprise is the sci fi series most closely tied to our current era chronologically so theoretically it’s topical. (This would be the dingbat’s argument, not mine.)
