Okay, so I just rebuilt the whole index.html template by hand, since for the life I me it still wasn’t loading very fast. (Madeline, would you check it out and see if it still loads wrong from that one machine of yours?)
Anyway, I will be… damned if I can figure out what the deal is with that frelling table up in the corner that had
[had, mind you, past tense]
the little navigation pictures in it. It doesn’t load right and I just don’t want to figure out why right now. Therefore: gone.
Update: and of course i figure it out about three seconds later.

I swear, I'm just sitting here reloading the page over and over, just to revel in the speed of page refresh.
It is, truly, the little things in life.
At least my life.

I'll check it when I get back to work, the location of ye olde odd machine, on Monday. I've just been using index.php for the past months, though, on all machines (even the ones where everything renders right), because I like being able to browse from your main page to your gaming blog and thence onwards through the web, and index.php allows that, while the main page opens all the top links in a new window.
But for the past week or so, all of the quoted text on index.php has been in a +1 or +2 font instead of a nice little grey box, which is not bueno... And today, the top links and the left side links ("Other Blogs") are, too.
As the great Zelazny said, Just one damned thing after another, eh?

That's really weird, about the .php version.
As for the the way the links work on the .html page, say more -- I was just doing it that way for the sake of... *shrug* coding it. :)
