A really busy, annoying couple of weeks here in the land of the average bear. Nothing interesting currently going on, but that doesn’t mean I won’t post about it anyway.

Been wrestling with my intake of various unhealthy-levels of food bits (who knew KFC was bad for you?!?), tracking it all with RMR Diet for PalmOS, which is a pretty nifty tool, if your someone who feels compelled to track such things.

Downloaded iRogue for Palm, today, because I feel the need to provide myself with quick and easy escape from current work-related deadlines (all of which are insane).

My weekend? What weekend? Friday was Halloween, spent playing boardgames until 2 am. Saturday was four hours on work stuff, followed by Nobilis (which seemed to be focused and on track and yet somehow ‘off’). Sunday was four more hours on work stuff, followed by Justin’s final football game of the season, under the lights. (They lost, 20-19. Heartbreaker.)

Monday was a bunch of deadlines (bet you couldn’t have guessed that from all the hours on the weekend, huh?) and product reviews in which I projected an aura of brilliance and overwork. Monday night was the almost-done-but-not quite OA, which went very well (I thought). Shame I’m wrapping that up, really, but it needs doing.

Been going to the gym fairly regularly, which is oddly relaxing and leaving me in a good mood afterwards, but the last couple weeks have been so jammed that I’ve been rushing in, going like hell for 30 minutes, then rushing out… not the same end effect.

Many deadlines end this month — I’ll be glad of that.

iRogue. Sweet.

Re Nobilis, I thought the session went well, too, but I agree that it was "off." May be because folks are scattered here and there, and not necessarily pulling toward a common goal. Or maybe not.

But I'm waiting for the next session ...

IRogue. Dude, I'm the only person I know (though I bet Dave and Clovis will chime in here) that's finished Nethack. I downloaded the latest version a couple of months ago and have been happily eating Floating Eyes since.

If they could port NetHack to the Palm (they can't), I'd have it.

Fear I've never played Nethack.

But Rogue ... oh, yeah ...

Just be glad you have a gym so close so you can go either in a rush time or relaxed. Sure wish we had one here.
