Karen Sisco has been put on “hiatus”. ABC has said the show will air in March in a new timeslot.

I’m bummed about this. I wasn’t taping the show primarily because I thought it was a sure thing for seasonal pick-up and the land of DVD “Season #” collections.

Why? It’s a great show: the seven episodes aired thus far have been really good: Carla Gugino as Sisco is sexy enough for the guys and tough enough for the gals (or vice versa). The plots and characters are true to Elmore Leonard’s style… it is just a damn good show.

Is… was… whatever.

The kiss of death was probably when I decided to put it into ‘regular viewing’ rotation.

Don't start watching anything on Discovery Wings or the History Channel or National Geographic Channel.

But do start watching Friends, all the reality shows and the "Ethno-blocks" on UPN. Watch them all the time and write about your love for them. Use this power of yours for good!

ABC is now officially evil.

Come on... You put a new show against a juggernaut (Law and Order) and you blame the new show for not taking off like a rocket, just getting massive critical success? Ugh.

(Fortunately, I do have at least moderate quality tapes of all 7 eps shown so far...)
