For those who haven’t already heard me mention it, at the end of December I joined the cult-like self-affirming little project of Marn’s dubbed Going Nowhere.
This means I told a bunch of people I’m going to try to log 500 miles of movement exercise stuff (bikes, running, treadmill, whatever) during 2004 — now I’ve told a bunch more people, and I finally got around to putting a Marnometer (really, what else could I call it?) on the sidebar so folks can point at laugh at my pathetic numbers thus far.
(There’s a chance I might start biking to work when it warms up some, so 500 might come more easily than expected — if so, I might end up switching my goal to 1000. Who knows.)

And how does one pronounce Marnometer? mar-NOM-e-ter? MARN-o-meet-er?

I would assume it all depends on which side of the border you are on.

Interesting. I may just do the same thing.
