ABC remains evil.

Not quite "Fox killing Firefly and the Tick" evil, but pretty darn evil.

That does it. I'm never watching network tv again.

Well, obviously you're not the target audience, so they don't care if you ever watch it again.

(Stupid, stupid network creatures ...)

Well, Doyce is the target demographic though. I read a blurb in an article that said that the network exec’s felt that both Firefly and Karen Sisco were to female oriented and not targeted to the 18-35 white male audience that they really want.

Firefly was female oriented? Wha, wha, what????

A space, guns, post-Civil War...yep that scream female programing to me.

Shall we look at the similiarities in theme between Firefly and...Friends?

But then again, I understand why they'd cancel the show. I mean with quality programming like this:

Why would you want a silly little program like Firefly?

/sarcasm

Remeber Clovis, these are the same folks that were upset that Firefly wasn't a comedy like BtVS.

posted by Boulder Dude, January 30, 2004 01:45 PM

Well, crap. I was just beginning to like Karen Sisco. I'm beginning to think that my interest in any show is a one-way ticket to cancellation before the end of the first season. God, how I hate network executives. *grumble*

And Clovis, as far as this female's concerned, those are all fine, fine qualities in a program. Especially the "space" and "guns" parts. Nathan Fillion in tight pants doesn't hurt the mix.

Lee just brought home the Firefly DVD. Just you wait.

There's still some good stuff.

Alias
Angel
Gilmore Girls
Scrubs

Hm. 3.5 hours of reliably good programming out of 105 hours of network primetime per week.
