Woman is hanging out reading VIBE at the Barnes and Noble. Quentin Tarantino walks up and compliments on her on her purse. They hang out for the rest of the day, before he…

I’m not kidding.

Before he picks up the table he bought at the Crate and Barrel and takes it out to the Pussy Wagon, which he’s driving around town.

That would make my day. Maybe my month.

Jealousy does not even come close to how I feel right now. Especially after seeing Vol 2.

BoingBoing reports on it, too, but notes a discrepency in the story ...

Is this made-up? It's made-up, isn't it?

I don't know -- personally, I don't think so. That's me.

My only reason for thinking it's not a hoax -- the writer is someone who works in Hollywood professionally -- to write something up like this as a fiction and publish it as fact -- just seems like you'd be making yourself a pariah.

So, assuming that wasn't their goal, I'd have to say there's some fact to it. Perhaps he didn't really buy her the peppermills at the end... maybe that was made up... who knows.

I suppose you're right, stuff like this does happen...Roger Corman actually sat down and watched Clay Soldiers a couple of weeks ago (I was told he "appreciated" it), after I met with one of his associates here in Taipei...that was pretty wierd. And then there was that whole Enya thing....

If it isn't real, then someone went through some effort to actually set up a gift registry at Crate & Barrel to back it up:
