The campsite on the shores of Lake San Antonio, near Paso Robles.

We got some visitors during mealtime. The second night it happened, Jackie pointed out that one young buck mule deer was really close, so I stepped away from the buffet line where’d I’d been grabbing a piece of bread and pulled out my Palm Zire 71 with the handy little camera in it. When I crouched, the guy walked right up to me. I couldn’t figure out why until I realized I had wedged the slice of bread between the fingers of the hand holding out the Palm… he reached in and grabbed the bread, and I clicked the shutter, trying to hold real still…

He chewed for awhile…

… then looked around to see if anyone else had some.

The Father’s Day spread featured a (typically) awe-inspiring fruit tower as it’s centerpiece (pictured here with a very cute little fruitbat). Everyone wore ties for this brunch, what with it being Father’s Day and all.
Right after brunch we took off for some waterskiing attempts and tubing.

Then we set out for the some more wine tasting, some of which was at Clautiere Vineyard, which has it’s own way of setting the mood.

There’s lots more, but that hits some fun highlights.
