After much delay, pix from Comic-Con.

The Dealer floor, which was numbered, row by row, starting around 5600 and going down to zero… it goes on for a very long way.

Star Wars
One of the large swaths of real estate on the dealer floor was (horribly laid out) the Lucasfilm area. Generally, what pictures I saw in this area were being taken in front of the life-size x-wing or of the great panorama of Endor, done in lego; no one was really paying that much attention to the Return of the Sith stuff.

Costumes
Some of the more entertaining costumes from the masquerade were BeastBoy, Bender, Harley Quinn, the JLA, and Optimus Prime, but I was equally impressed with some of the folks I saw in costume on the con floor, like Green Lantern and The Red Star’s Makita.

Two of my favorite bits from the Quick Draw panel (in which three comic book artists are given impromtu subjects to draw in a short period of time) both from Sergio Argones: Superman as a Proctologist and the zippo (zebra-hippo crossbreed). The audience laughed at everyone’s stuff, but with Sergio, they laughed as each detail was added — first the terrified eyes, then the clenching hands, et cetera. With the zippo, the notable thing is that it has a story — everyone else just drew the weird cross-breed critter — Sergio turned it into a romantic comedy :)

Serenity
I’m just going to bullet-list these.

That’s about it for now.
