Okay, done with template tweaking for now. Retina burn should be somewhat reduced.

Comments related to putting back an obvious date stamp are duly noted — but not tonight. Tired.

I don't mind not having date breaks in the blog body (obviously), but putting the dates to the top of the entry seems (for me) to relieve that confusion.

Just checking, but did you intend to have the blog text in the individual archives be a nice, readable, black/dark grey, but that in the entries on the main page be an attractive but less-readable light grey?

I miss the orange (ducks), but the blue is closer to your previous theme.

The question, of course, is ultimately what *you* like.

the blue is much better the the orange.

In light of this (my previous template): http://www.average-bear.com/tindex.html

I find this: "... but the blue is closer to your previous theme."...

...funny. :)

(Kinda like when I told you that I thought your saturn was turquoise.)

I like what the blue does to the whole.

The grey on white is still nearly impossible to read... And like I said about the whitespace, you have a title bar, then a lot of space, then content, then a lot of space, then a box line, then a lot of space... I kind of cruise the internet, hoping at each place I stop to have to make as few motions as possible to read interesting things. Space that pushes content "below the fold" so I have to click for it is to my mind worse than pointless. But it's all personal taste, style...

Umm... what browser are you using, because what you're describing doesn't look like Mozilla Firefox or IE.
