This is interesting. A recent study reports that marijuana’s effects on the brain are reversible.
How? Well you just… stop.
Seriously. Apparently, if you just knock it off for a couple weeks to a month, the affects MJ has on general intellectual function, abstract thinking, sustained attention, verbal fluency and the ability to learn and recall simply goes away.
That’s like… really… cool… and stuff. Wow, man.
So, my interpretation: compared to alchohol, which permanently kills brains cells, marijuana apparently holds them hostage.
Over the course of the month-long study, doctors also learned that the withdrawal symtoms from the drug are similar in severity to that of nicotine. {This information came to light when one patient chewed through his own arm and six steel doors to get to a vending machine.}
