Virg (VW to those reading comments here) ruminates on his wedding, nine years ago.

I remember the wedding itself dimly. What I remember more clearly was the sneaky ‘hook-up’ plan that I and another hatched to get Virg and T into the same room and talking at a theatre party — oh, how I wheedled, cajoled, and finally used my patented bull-headedness to get Virg to a ‘freaky theatre geeky thing’. We assumed that mere proximity would be enough to get them going.

We were so, so right.

I’ve nudged or participated in the nudging of two couples together in my whole life, and thus far, I’m batting 1.000 and indirectly responsible for 4 little goomba’s coming into the world, so yay me.

Frozen moment in time: Following the moment Virg caved in and agreed to go to the party with me, he warned me “I’m not wearing any make-up, no matter what you say.”
