So I read through the first couple chapters of the book this evening, for the first time. Aloud. Ugh. Ugh-ly. Not all ugly, but … yeah.

Not that I could have gotten the whole thing done in time if I’d been testing every line for oration friendliness, and a glitchy first draft is better than a perfectly-edited, unfinished chunk of text.

But, just to anyone who’s reading it, I know there are weird bits in it. I know. It’s a REALLY first draft kind of first draft. I’m working on it, and I plan to have a second draft done before Christmas.

I don’t think my folks will (ever) actually read it, but it would be nice if my mom didn’t spot a typo on the only page she flips to.

Also, to those reading it, once the first draft becomes a second draft, the whole thing is coming down. I can be contacted for copies at that point.
