I’ve been pondering today what to do with the Writing in the Dark page, now that the NaNoWriMo project is over and done with. Suggestions appreciated.

I enjoyed have a little group blog to participate in, and I think, for a month at least, it had a good community feel.

Just don’t know what to do with it now — may a group GM’s blog — not sure. Anyway, that’s what’s on my mind.

In other site news, I’m fiddling around a little more with MT, and I might be migrating off the Dotcomments comment code in the near future. MT’s stuff isn’t as… well, okay, it’s still sort of ugly, but it’s not as ugly as it I originally thought — the ugly in that case was largely my fault — and it’s not much worse than DC, with some nice added touches that I like.

Frankly, my run-in with averdata has me a little twitchy about the dotcomments code, since while I love it, it’s been almost the whole reason that I and dave had to switch services.

Pretty good reason to switch it out for something less troublesome.

Comments

Okay, the tentative new comment code.

...which is doing something weird.

I do like using the "excerpt". I might adopt that.

1) i definitely like the excerpt thing.
2) i enjoyed reading the w.i.d. page. you know a good group o' folks, doyce, and if you can find a way to keep some sort of group blog going, i think it'd be jest fine.
3) suggestions, suggestions....uh, how about short reviews of books, cds, games, etc., especially those you don't think other people have been exposed to? observations on the process of writing, blogging, g.m.'ing, i.e., stuff related to creativity that not everyone's going to want to read? er.
