Waylon Jennings dies. He recorded 60 albums and refused to attend awards shows because he believed it was wrong for artists to compete.

I’m not a big country fan, but Jennings and Johnny Cash don’t count in that tally as far as I’m concerned. He, and the approach to music that he embodied, will be missed.

Jennings and Cash are not Country anymore. Nor were they ever, they have always been an Outlaw sound, I think it's gansta-country or something close to it.

They've gone beyond a genre and are something bigger than that. I listen to Jennings and Cash almost every day and I'm really upset that he died.
