…some good stuff.
There is such a thing as Art. I know, I know; it offends you’re MTV sensibilities to have to actually go and have to think about what you’re buying when there are so many porcelain busts of superheroes in the worlds yet to be purchased.
Now I’m not quite as vehement about it as Drew. I covet a good Return of the Jedi poster that I can hang, framed, next to my Tenchi Muyo parody. A part of me wants one of those 200 dollar Usagi Yojimbo statuettes, but that’s because I think Stan Sakai deserves to never have to worry about money ever again, so he can just drawing and writing stories for me. I’ve got a never-opened Buffy ‘action figure’ hanging on my office wall… I’ve got a never opened box of poseable action figures for Reboot (those are in storage, though, until I can get enough people interested in a game set in Mainframe.)
So I’m on the fence. I collect bears (people know this, or should be able to guess it), but not boyd’s bears or polar bears… just bears, so I’m not too chic. Besides, I’ve put a hold on all bear-collecting for awhile… I’ve run out places to put the damn things. I have dogs, man… and my friends have little kids: these things can’t sit just anywhere.
Once I get the new bookshelves in the basement, though… there’s a great Dark Knight Returns, 18”, commemorative, Winter Re-release, resin statuette I’ve had my eye on…
