… thank god for the friday five.
1. What is your favorite time of year? Like my dad, my favorite time of year is fall. I like spring in the Rockies alright, too, since it’s not as wet and muddy as spring in most places (in fact, is very fall-like).
2. What is it about your favorite season that, well, makes it your favorite season? Colors. Not too hot, not too cool. Good breezes, good smells. Everything is just looking around and saying to itself “damn, it’s been a pretty good year.”
3. What is your least favorite time of year? February — aside from it being my birth-month, I’m one of those people that freaks out if I don’t see the sun enough, and when I was in South Dakota, February was month-of-the-freakout. Hated that.
4. Do you do anything to celebrate or recognize the changing of seasons? Not really, except to say “It’s &@*#$@& JUNE and it’s *@#$&^@ SNOWING, what the hell is wrong with our climate?!?
5. What’s your favorite thing to do outside? I used to be outdoors a lot more than I used to be, and hopefully won’t have given myself skin cancer from all the sun I used to get. (People who know me will have a hard time picturing me with a tan.) Lately, it feels like I’m trying to make up for being outside so much as a kid. That said, I’d have to say I really love skiing. It’s one of my favorite things, and something which I actually HAVEN’T DONE since I moved to Colorado. I need to do something about.
6. (Bonus) What’s on your plate this weekend? Call Lee and De and schedule a bebe-visit. I tore the carpet out of my bathroom last night (it was self-defense), and I’ll be putting new tile in there on Saturday. Jackie plans to start a new painting project tonight, probably back in the kitchen area. Seems like there’s a plan to go to the Zoo in there as well — I can’t remember.
Oh, and on Sunday, we’re babysitting 4 extra dogs til Thursday. :P There will be pictures.
