The Friday Five:
1. What is your favorite restaurant and why? Red Robin. Great turkey burgers with chipotle mayo, great cheese sticks, and great milk shakes. I don’t know if they’re worth five damn dollars, but they sure are good.
2. What fast food restaurant are you partial to? KFC, since they started doing sandwiches. Popeyes. Anyplace with “chicken” in the name of the chain, really.
3. What are your standards and rules for tipping? About 20% if they’re good. 15% if they’re… there. One buck if they seem incapable of getting everything done, but are still trying. I leave without tipping when they’ve got a shitty attitude. A good attitude can save a bad situation.
4. Do you usually order an appetizer and/or dessert? Chips and salsa at mexican restaurants. Cheese sticks are common. I’ll get a malt at Red Robin, but nothing anywhere else, normally, unless we’re at Hops (which is my second favorite place) — we’ll split something there.
5. What do you usually order to drink at a restaurant? Diet Pepsi or Diet Coke normally. Sometimes a Guinness at Red Robin. I like to order local wine when I’m traveling.
Bonus: Wazzup this weekend? Ugh. Too much junk and not enough house stuff. People over tonight, per usual. Tomorrow, I’m tied up from about 8am to 6pm prepping for Sunday. Sunday, running the monthly DSG at Collectormania from about 9am to 7:30 pm. Bad planning on my part.
