You know what I mean; you’ve been there: that part of the relationship where the glow starts to fade. You’ve heard your partner’s best stories — hell, the really good ones you’ve heard 3 or 4 times because they tell them again and again to new acquaintances while you sit there and keep a fake smile on your face.
You’re starting to get into that phase where their ‘cute’ behavior is becoming ‘annoying’ and their ‘quirks’ are starting to make you wonder if they need to talk to a professional.
You’ve had second thoughts. Third thoughts. There’s been at least one day where you wonder how you managed to get roped into a situation like this AGAIN.
It’s getting to be that time.
You feel as though their problems should probably be your problems too, but dammit, you have your own problems and you don’t want theirs — can’t they just work that crap out on their own, and do they have to MENTION it all the time?
You know that you either have to start talking about serious commitment or get out, now, while you both still can.
Don’t worry. It happens to everyone.
Besides, it’s just a blog. You can simply take it off your favorites list and forget about it, right?
Right?
(In other news, the first-year anniversary of this journal is coming up. Anyone have cold feet?)

OH PLEASE.
We're still here, still reading...

Officially, no one gets me today.
The story-dream-post didn't work for most anyone and this one, which I thought would be a funny "blog/reader as boyfriend/girlfriend" post, is just getting me "Dude, are you all right?" email, which I do appreciate, if only for the spirit it was sent in.
I'll go back to what passes as normal for this site.

There are some blogs that I "lurk" on, not because I know the people, but because it's my favourite soap opera. It's something that I have to catch up on if I'm away from the computer for a few days. It's everything you want in a biography...
...and then the rest of my reads are either surreal/humour or people I know one way or another. Friends-of-a-friend or whatnot.
Worse comes to worst, their blogs give me ideas for things to blog about... [grinning]

I just passed the one-year mark on my site. I haven't redesigned once; it's the same, except occasionally I add things. That's it. No big deal.
