[In the following, I’m going to try to avoid tripping over myself in an effort to be as PC as possible and simply say what I think without worrying about how it sounds. Go into this knowing that I respect everyone’s right to do and be whomever they are. It’s all good.]

Psuedo-unrelated: A friend of mine observed to me (this would be coming up on a year ago), that she thought that an upswing in lesbianism or practicing female bisexuals should be expected in America — how many generations have been saturated by a media juggernaut in which the female form is the universal (and lone) sexual image?

Faced with that level of inundation, why wouldn’t the average teen (male or female) lock onto that?

I agree that it’s something that should be changed — not to ‘fix’ lesbianism or any other sort of healthy sexuality — but simply because it’s not (if you’ll excuse the phrase) fair. Sure, life can’t always be fair, but when it can be, it should be.

The only problem I see with an increase in male full-frontal nudity is that it would doubtless trigger a wave of penile implants and other "size-enhancers" in Hollywood, if not the nation, as men started comparing the proportions of their equipment. It's happened with women and breasts, and it's something men are even more (I suspect) self-conscious about. Bleah.

Heres why I like nekkid chicks and don't dig naked guys.

"A room with a view" has one of the funniest full male nudity scenes. The boys and the vicar get surprised by the ladies while skinny-dipping. Rather than hide in the pond, they try to run away. I still laugh when I think of it.

ok, sure, a "beautiful" woman is more aesthetically pleasing than an "average" or "butt-ugly" man. but take the average human form from a mall in iowa, and you'll see that, in most cases, you don't want to see them with their clothes off.

on the other hand, dig out a stack of mapplethorp photos--that man could make anything look sexy.

So you like to look at girls because girls are better looking? And you don't like to look at guys because they're not good looking? Let me guess, either you like apples because they taste good, or you don't like them because they don't taste good. Right?

Seriously, though, the reason nekkid women are everywhere is because the corporate culture is still dominated by white, hetero men. Heck, that's why lesbianism is more acceptable than male homosexuality. This article has a good point, but it's kind of like putting the carriage before the horse.

OK, I'll take the white hetro male point.

But I was reading a History of Europe, and in Roman Art, the nude female from outnumbers the nude male form in works of Art at a 4-1 ratio.

In Greece, it was the other way at 5-1.

And the Romans were well known for batting for both teams.
