So, the good news is that the cancer’s not into his bones.

The bad news is it’s inoperable, because it’s “fingered out” away from the original mass, making it impossible to get everything. This means aggressive daily radiation for 8 weeks, plus medicine and a bunch of really expensive shots that he might have to go back and get indefinately.

Another test in a few days to see if it’s in his lymph nodes. His doctor guesses a 50/50 chance for that, but won’t operate unless it’s quite bad, since the radiation should address that as well.

Not great news, but it’s not in his bones, which would have been pretty bad.

I can go home in five days.

My thoughts are with you too. Two years ago my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer, so I know what you're going through.
