Cancer cells are apparently ranked on a scale of 1 to 10 in terms of virulency or tendency to replicate. (Technically, they’re rated on two scales from 1 to 5, and then the results are added.)
The cells in the original mass are coming up 4’s.
The cells in the areas that have spread out from the original mass are 8’s and 9’s (which makes sense, I suppose, since they are the one’s spreading).
To summarize, he tells me they are “aggressive little bastards”.
The sort of good news about my trip is that the Black Hills is on fire (apologies to anyone suffering in the fire zone, but it is good news for me), so we don’t have to meet anyone out there.
Instead, we’ll be at my folks’ by about 3 am on Wednesday morning and spend the day there. On the 4th, we’ll visit my Grandparents and wish them happy 60th anniversary, then drive down to Sioux Falls with my folks, visit my sister and family in their new place, then drive the last hour down to my in-laws. On the fifth, I’ll drive back up to Sioux Falls to hang out with my Dad while he has tests, then go back down to the in-laws for a Faulk-family barbeque (where Justin will be able to see many more family relations than he would by following the original plan). We’ll head back to Denver on the 6th.
I should even have something like internet access most of those days, at least for part of the time, so posts will continue from balmy South Dakota.
I wonder how large I can make the “I Remember Why I Left” font, without having it wordwrap?
