In the last four years of Dad driving a flat-bed designed to carry over-sized loads (the biggest, nastiest, heaviest, most-likely-to-be-top-heavy types of trucks you see on the highway), he has mentioned every single point in this article at least twice. It’s almost impossible to come up with a good excerpt, because I want to quote the whole thing, but here, I’ll quote the rule I break the most often:

This one is so obvious, I still can’t believe the number of people who simply refuse to do it. So I’ll put it in caps and throw in some profanity for emphasis, to make sure you remember: USE YOUR FUCKING TURN SIGNALS, YOU GODDAMNED DOPE.
