Went over to Scripty Goddess and grabbed a revised version of the code that… well, click and see if you haven’t already.

Yeah. Using the ‘more’ function to hide posts you may or may not want to see is now self-contained on the main page.

I don’t use such functions very often, partly because if I don’t want the majority of my readers reading something, there’s probably reason enough not to post it at all.

The OTHER reason is that I hate that “MORE” takes you into the archives.

Now it doesn’t. Bully for me. Maybe I’ll hide sections of all those gawdawful long QnA posts behind this thing.

They’ve even added some pretty neato code that lets you expand the comments for each entry right on the page you’re reading, instead of popping into archives or into a window… cool, but cooler if I didn’t really like it off in it’s own popup window already.

Yeah, that's still in my list of things to possibly implement. Again, I have a problem with what sorts of things I'd hide ... but, then, if wanted to hide stuff, I wouldn't be blogging it. Aside from my comic book reviews, which are just too damned niche to warrent the default real estate space.

Of course, I have no problems popping folks into the archives, obviously ... :-)

Hrm. Okay, I'm trying to put this in, but unlike what it does everywhere else (expanding out stuff on the page), for me it ends up pulling up the archive (indiv entry) page. I've compared the source between yours and mine, and it looks identical (except that I zero-pad the post number in the anchor), so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Sure, I could ask the ScriptyGoddesses, but you are, after all, the Golden God of this sort of stuff.
