It seemed unlikely after the week we’d been having, but with a number of people coming to the house for a meeting my wife had organized, I and our household tatterdemalion found ourselves on the front steps with orders to ‘go see a movie’.

We (boy and I) went to see Blue Crush -- not a bad movie at all -- the message is very girl power-y and the ocean cinematography is just fantastic.

Reminds me why I fear drowning, though. Yowsa.

Also, I have some deep-seated fear of dangling my bare feet in deep water, so every shot from below the surf-boards while people float-sat on them and chatted raised my heart-rate for a sec.

Or maybe that was the surfer girls in bikinis... one or the other.
