I don’t really mind the days when I don’t post much. What bugs me is that there are days when I don’t get anything written down, and I have no idea how or why that happened, so here’s a few tidbits for the day:
Today, Justin left some of his homework at home in order to make room in his backpack for his gameboy1. It seems futile to ask ‘what the hell were you thinking?’ — sometimes, though, these words just come out of my mouth, demanding to be part of the conversation. Since I’m out of the house tonight, Jackie is handling this one. She seemed more than willing.

Then there’s this guy2.
Everyone remember that scene from Heathers? Towards the end? Yeah.

Saturday is nothing but Soccer, Justin’s birthday3, and about 6 hours of sweaty labor to put a new fence up at the consortium. I’m looking forward to it a great deal.

Dad’s radiation therapy wrapped up last week. The blood-tests to see how things have progressed will be around mid-October.

1 - He did, at least, not lie about its whereabouts when I called him over lunch hour.
2 - via Seki, with whose sentiments I wholly agree.
3 - We’ve taken ‘gameboy cartridges’ off the ‘possible gifts’ list. Go fig. Maybe for Christmas…
