Trying to wrap up some projects before the end of October, and my head is spinning. I’m hoping to send some sudden fiction and an essay to Banshee Studios for the November 1 deadline. We’ll see how that goes.

Of course November 1st is the Other Big Deadline — the start of NaNoWriMo. I’ve got a few ideas, but unlike last year I really don’t know what I which one I want to work on for sure. Sequel* to Strange Weapons? Something with that weird old-west thing that I posted last week? I’ve got this other idea that’s sort of in the same… call it genre, if not setting… as Vayland Rd. that would include that little snippet I posted a few days ago. That one might be fun.

It’s odd: I know what I want the theme of the story to be, but I don’t know if I couldn’t express it fairly well with any one of those story ideas, so while I’m attached to an idea, I’m stuck on a… setting? Weird.

It's probably utterly unhelpful, but I hope supportive, that we're all waiting with bated breath for you to start writing whatever it's going to be.

I decided that for this year I'm not going to necessarily write -1- story. I'm just going to write every day (not "blog" style, but fiction) and see towards the end of the month if I've got a theme I can string together. I kind of know what stories I want to touch on, but I won't promise it will be "in order" or necessarily connected.
