Ratings for last Friday’s Firefly episode “Out of Gas” were the lowest yet for the series, continuing a steady downward trend for a show that (to me) keeps getting better.

Watched the Ep twice.

Thought it was the weakest Ep of Firefly I've seen yet.

I hate jerky flashback eps of anything.

Loved the episode myself. Would debate the "best yet" (I have such a fondness for Canton and Jayne...he got a SONG!!), but it was up there.

I love flashback episodes. Even the jerky ones.

I won't lie: I was all but teared-up when I saw that last scene where he's ignoring the salesman and staring at Serenity over on the sand dune. Love at first sight :).

Kazaa is my friend. I have not watched the show at all yet, but I will give it a shot tonight How many eps have there been anyway? I have downloaded what seems like 5 eps.

It was my first episode. Mind you, I was doing something else, but I had trouble keeping track of what was going on. Multiple levels of flashback, and a bunch of characters you don't know is not a good mix. The show was doomed to fail, Friday night is where TV shows go to die, just like Florida for old people.

Flashback episodes don't bother me. I agree it would not have been the best "first" episode -- it's a large cast -- but it did some good character-enhancing bits.

Friday night sucks, ratings-wise. Thank heavens for VCRs (etc.).
