For the first time since Justin came out here, this has really felt like Halloween.

Stupid reason: I drove him around instead of walking him around.

Y’see, that’s how we did it when I was a kid: Mom drove.

Of course, Mom drove because the houses were all about 3 miles apart. I drove because it was friggin cold.

Still, it felt right.

Cold to you people is 50 degrees. It was 12 degrees here last night and Reggie and Malik walked!!! Granted, they only went to about 10 houses because it was so damn cold but they walked.

Lucky me, I had class last night and got to miss the whole event.

That's really awful, Doyce.
How much gas was that?

Tsk.

(smiling, however, even as I shake my head)

And Bonnie - cold for us is the same as cold for you... I'm in Michigan... cold is below 25 degrees...

Now if I was in Florida!!!!

Hey, it was COLD last night. Actually cold even by my old South Dakota standards.

As for gas, we swept through three blocks of houses then I took him up a ways to The GIRL'S house so he could show off his costume and get candy... too far away to walk, so he wasn't exactly complaining about me using the truck... he raced it down the sidewalk from house to house.

It was, in fact, in the teens here last night.

That having been said, brave little Katherine (and her daddy, who didn't have the benefit of a tiger costume protecting his ears) walked around the neighborhood. Nyah.

We had folks up to about 9:00pm, but we had The Coolest Haunted House On The Block. (Even if it made little girls cry.)
