Write a karaoke bar into the story that your wife’s reading and you can get taken to a karaoke bar for ‘research’ (mostly pointing and laughing, not at the singing but at the song choices).

Yes, some do. The Diamond Cabaret has a pretty decent steak too. Listening to the table dancer whine about the bread crumbs is a bit of a drag though.
