Ick. The original Hummers are better.

That's perfect, because of course that is the perception the SUV drivers have, as well as any one who has the misfortune of being hit by one.
Wish the insurance companies would penalize the vehicles that are CAUSING the damage, rather than their victims...

Man, I'm sick. I read the title and now have the Music Man soundtrack running thru my head.

That's pretty funny.

From what I've read and heard, here's how they make an H2: Take a Chevy Tahoe engine. Since the gas mileage on a Tahoe isn't crappy enough, put that engine into a really heavy, boxy body, mark vehicle up to $50K, sell vehicle to BoBos.

Actually, the H2 is a T800 platform, so it shares systems with Tahoe, Silverado, Sierra, Yukon, Avalanche and Escalade. Like Jaguar and Lincoln sharing platforms, or Saab, Pontiac and Chevy.
H2 has a Borg-Warner transfer case, adjustable tyre pressure system, new suspension, a different system for applying torque to wheels that are slipping and other goodies.
The engine is a 6 liter Vortec, and the chasis has been lengthened from a Tahoe.
