Got the new machine @ 7 pm.

Figure a half-hour to unpack everything and hook it all up in a calm, controlled fashion, so that means…

A full four hours before I managed to do so many things at once that I locked it up with an Out of Memory error. :)

Before I retired I was involved with a good sized laptop rollout at a private school.

We had failure rates as high as 60% on new DIMMs for laptops and 30% for DDR,Rambus and faster SD ram from major ram makers from fall of '01 until I retired in December.

I had some Micron ram fail in my iMac, when it got to a block, it would kernal panic and force a reboot. I had a good warrenty on the ram and got the problem fixed.
