Instapundit.com has links up to a series of excellent, 1m-resolution pictures of Baghdad.
Not exactly a landscape of death and wanton devastation, all stamped “Made in America.”
Lemme summarize the shots for you: Several the pictures don’t show any sign of the war at all, except for black clouds cross the shot from the oil pools the Republican Guard lit on fire. The highways are full of cars. Where you do see bomb strikes, they are almost comically accurate: buildings blasted to ash stand right next to other buildings that are perfectly intact; the runways of Saddam Intnt’l Airport look like a scene from the new movie Holes, but the ground nearby is fine. It’s uncanny.
I accept that two of the bombs or misstle might have gone astray, but damn just look at how careful the military is being. It’s uncanny.
