Well, duh. You have to build an entire cosmic cast. It only makes sense that you'd start with the two standards in the industry:
1. "You wake up. You have no idea who you are."
2. "Oh, yeah. There's a dead body lying there."
Thus not only keeping the players (and GM) from floundering with what they really don't know as players, but should as characters, but also giving them the appropriate noodge into action.
No complaints here.

I picked up the book, and am really enjoying it. I also reccomend last exodus and whispering vault rpgs as reference material, they have many similair themes
