The Rat Bastards at Yahoo pulled a good one over at their groups.yahoo.com. If you’re on a mailing list through these groups (I’m on… let’s just say a few), you might want to check this out.
Yahoo changed everyone’s Marketing Preference’s in the User Profile, the result of which will be load of marketing ‘offers’.
If that’s not your cuppa:
- Go to groups.yahoo.com
- Click on Account Info
- Verify your password (if it asks)
- Click on ‘Edit your Marketing Preferences’
- Change all those Yes’s back to to No’s (and don’t forget the two hidden down at the bottom for “call me with offers” and “snail mail me offers”)
- Click Save Changes.

Dude, I don't get that "Edit your Marketing Preferences" choice when I'm in my account info.

Ian, make sure you're in your Account Info. You can also get to it by going into your mail, clicking on Options, and then on Account Information. It'll be in the middle of the page.
