Monday Mission:

1. When was the last time you pampered yourself?
I’m not really into that kind of stuff, if you mean mud-baths and all that kind of crap. Staying home on the couch watching TV and munching stuff might count, but that sort of thing requires that I be sick, so forget about that.

Hmm. I have no answer to this.

2. When was the last time someone pampered you?

See above answer.

Let’s say: when I come home from work and decide to take a 20 minute nap that actually goes from 5:30 to 8pm, and Jackie lets it happen. Last time that happened was about two weeks ago.

3. Describe the last time you recall really feeling loved (other than from children or pets).

Explain to me why children and pets don’t count. Is their adoration of less worth for being unconditional? Bah, sez I.

Now, to answer the question, I would say it was when Jackie leapt up and made a cheeseburger for me yesterday when I got home from golf and started poking around the fridge. That was nice.

4. Has your use of the computer ever caused any arguments? What’s the story there?

Ugh. Double ugh. Yeah.

It has to do with mushes and muds and online games in general and the fact that both Jackie and I enjoy them and spend time on them.

Ugh.

That said, it’s much better now than it was in the early years of our relationship — we’ve got a handle on that sort of activity, and simply kill it off if it gets out of hand. Before, that sort of crap was one of the priorities that other things were dropped in favor of — now, it is the first thing to go by the wayside when we need to make time for important stuff.

5. What’s the most embarrassing thing your Mom ever did?
Mom was really good about not embarassing us when were were kids or in High School. All our friends thought our parents were cool.

6. I’ve met some adults who’ve never learned to swim, and others who never learned how to ride a bike.. Is there anything that you never learned as a child that you probably should have?
I never played baseball or little league when I was a kid — I learned everything (and play pretty well) after my divorce, when a friend of mine forced me to join a softball league to get out of the house and stop staring at the wall.

7. I have no idea who said it (and I spent all of two minutes trying to research it), but “someone” once said, a picture is worth a thousand words. Post an image that says more than words.

How about this one? Or this.

BONUS: What’s love got to do with it?

Right now? Everything.
