Some days I wonder about kids — about the boulder that I’m pushing against, hoping that it starts rolling before I just can’t push anymore.
Some days I can understand people who have decided that being married, simply being together with their spouse and being happy is a good and worthwhile end in itself.
Some days are just… hard.

And there are, to be fair (at least for me), other days when I can't think of anything finer than to have the kid around.
Unfortunately, it's extremely difficult to conjure up the feelings of one extreme when at the other.
