Ways that the Weather Pixie picture (on the right) is accurate:
The air is filled with little tendrils of smoke.
Ways that the WP is not accurate:
The guy standing in the smoke — eyes are not red enough, throat is not sore enough, nasal passages don’t feel like someone rammed an emory board up there and sawed it around for an hour, and I’m pretty sure that he can talk without coughing or his voice cutting out.
I want to be the weather pixie.

Awww.
I would be having trouble out there, too... I have an allergic reaction when I get around smoke, much like what you have described, only, thank heaven, milder...

There's no smoke now, so I guess you are the pixie?

Sadly, the smoke is only half the problem -- I was (and am) already sick, with inflamed throat, nasal passages, and ears canals. Combine that with the complication of smoke, and you gotcherself a heck of a good time.
