JFK Airport security guards forced a woman to drink her own breast milk in front of other passengers before boarding a flight to prove she wasn’t carrying any dangerous fluid to wreak havoc.

In related news, I contemplated mandatory beatings as punishment for being inexusably stupid from approximately 3:45pm to 3:50pm today.

That's the kind of crap that happens when you let the Feds run something.

I hiked around Europe and the Middle East a while back, you know what needs to happen here for AP security?

1. Not let the guys running Athens or Orly get to make a single suggestion.
2. Have local law enforcment handle airports, rail stations, rail yards.
3. Guys in body-armor and MP5s on every corner in the Airport
4. Hire the Israelis to tell us what needs to happen to secure Airports.

Breast milk tastes better than cow's milk, so I doubt it was any big deal for the woman, other than robbing her child of the milk.

Still... you gotta wonder how much of this is actual security or acts of humiliation. :/

As I understand it, in Israel they don't try to do airport security on the cheap. Pay for low-bid security and you get low-bid security, whether private, federal or whatever.

Major lawsuit and I hope she winds up set up for life.

Actually, Israel is also a lot more willing to (a) slow down and inconvenience everyone, and (b) profile passengers long before they get anywhere near the plane.

Oh, and they're willing to shoot people, too, which I suspect would help immensely in some cases.
