The Thursday Thumb-Twiddler
1. If you knew that in one year you would die, suddenly, how would you change anything about the way you are now living?
I’d stop buy things for me and put everything ‘extra’ that I had into safe monetary investments. I’d spend every waking moment I had with my wife and kid (well, moreso).
Sad that the first of these things would be something of a change for me, but there it is.
2. Your father-in-law is foreign-born, and you’ve just learned that he was an agent of long-standing for a nation that is very unfriendly toward yours. Do you report him to the authorities? Is your answer any different if he’s still acting as an agent?
A man’s past is his own. Still an agent? Well, that’s not the past, now, is it?
3. If you could stand at the pinnacle of any man-made or natural object, what would it be?
If this were a magical wish to be fulfilled, then the World Trade Center, let’s say Tower 1, on 9/12/01.
If it’s merely a desire, I’d point out that I really don’t like heights much.
