As Blather points out, web use is up, especially amongst workers.
Double digit percentage growth of web-use at work, single-digit growth in homes. Shocking.
As if you didn’t already know. As if you yourself aren’t one of the people fueling this revolution of de-energized, under-challenged people trying desperately to make the day tick by just a few seconds faster, reading Slate Metafilter Kuro5hin, squeezing a few extra minutes into your lunch “hour”, and sneaking quietly out just a skosh before five.
I know. I’m right there with you, trying to make my web-browser look like Word.
If work was as interesting or challenging as your real life, you’ve never read this page. Hell, I doubt there’d be a page here to read.

Study Finds Internet Usage at Work Has Positive Impact on Product
"When the Internet is used for personal reasons at work, more than half, 56 percent, of the employees claim it has a positive impact. Twenty-eight percent declare improvements in the quality of their work, while another 28 percent attribute Internet usage to making them happier or less stressed."

So if I were to redesign the layout of my page, I'd do everyone a big favour if I made it look like Word?
